I have been so in-love with my dell inspiron duo since I got it 5 months ago. One drawback is it's battery life. I hope to have one with longer battery life; I guess one that will last the whole 8-10 hours. So now, I want to try other brands of mini laptops. I'm currently saving for at least five hp mini laptops that I want to buy and use at work. Actually something I want my centers group to use at work. My hubby is also planning on getting one. We need to wait for great deals before buying.

A Girl's Best Friend

Is it true that "diamonds are a girl's best friend?" Well, I guess I'm not one of those girls since I'm not so into diamonds or jewelries in general. I appreciate any gift actually, I'm quite easy to please... It's the thought that counts right?

A ring given from the heart is just as valuable as a diamond engagement rings from Reeds. I guess it becomes a girls best friend because one to really needs work hard and save a lot to be able to afford one (unless of course you're rich).

Treasure Hunt Garage

We've been treasure hunting for the past few months. Well, it's more on garage treasure hunting. As one of the popular idioms say, "One man's trash is another man's treasure." So far we've found some really valuable items in most garage sale during our Saturday hunt. We've found some toys for work at school, useful resources for work like barcode scanners and some lightly used technology.

It would have been perfect if I found two items I'm really looking for - walker and high chair for my little one. After a month of hunting though, we decided to buy him new set. Sooner or later, I need to sort some items we've accumulated and hold my own garage sale.

We've been here for quite some time but we haven't tried walking to the beach to see the 'remains' of the WWII. My adventurous brother in law, however went to see one of the historic sight in the island... I on the other hand is taking endless pictures of his journey while thinking if a metal detectors will help us detect buried treasures :p

Now I'm hoping for a restful weekend... Somehow, I wish we have rv and rv insurance quote so we can go to the top of the mountain for two days, spend time with our two kiddos and watch movie all day before going back to work.

Again, here's another busy school year for me... It's a great challenge and learning experience... This is the career I choose and I like it very much. I like motivating, inspiring and challenging kids to be the best they can be... I might be in this career for as long as I can... I still don't see myself applying for other jobs, esp. Bartender Jobs. I hope to be active in my online business but I guess I'll wait on that until my little boy is a year or two..

Well…school year has begun and we went from doing “nothing” to going 100 miles an hour…or so it seems like. There have been so many things going on and the day seems to go by so quickly. Anyhow, I wanted to share with you this link I found where you can get canon ink cartridges. It’s so good to not have to go to the store to purchase my things. Especially given the fact that everything on the island seems to be double (sometimes, triple) the actual price of the product.

I heard of a girl who met somebody from a free dating online company. They are married now with a newborn baby. They have been married for about 3 years and seem to have a great relationship. It just got me thinking…I wonder how many success stories there are with that way of courtship. My hubby and I met in College and dated for a long while. I suppose I'm just too old fashioned.

Wow! It’s amazing how quickly 2011 is coming to an end. Fall season is definitely imminent and pretty soon winter will set in. I want to make sure my stateside people get some snow chains ready for the winter snow. I remember the last time I saw snow. It was in back in Virginia. Nostalgic Memory

My brother-in-law will be flying in this evening! We are excited but at the same time I cannot help but wish that we will also be welcoming my sister and niece (he'll go back and fetch them in December).

I miss my siblings. I remember one instance when our dad won sport trophies for his basketball game and my sister and I broke the thing. Ya. We got quite a spanking. Anyway, that was a random nostalgic memory. Sad and happy at the same time.

Digital Organizer

Do you use any organizer that will help you create text and checklist? I want to share two of my favorite organizers:
1) Notezilla - for my desktop/laptop computer
2) ColorNote - for my nook/htc device.

With the load of work I need to accomplish everyday, these two are my companion in reminding and helping me prioritize my to do list.

Now that school year is about to start, two more weeks to go for teachers and three weeks for students. I sure hope I remain focus and productive even when the circular cutting tools I bought for my laminated decorations and labels are not here yet.

Does it include buying rop life insurance? My list is getting longer and longer everyday. I seem to add more than cross out finished task. However, I need to get everything done before I start working again. I am extremely grateful for this long vacation though. Time well spent with my family is priceless!

I will look forward to next summer vacation especially when I'm hoping my sister will be here by then. I wish the rest of my siblings will relocate too...

We use both English and Filipino words when talking to our kids, my hubby taught her the word "Palo" which means "Spank." Since I haven't taught her the word "Spank" yet, I told her "I will 'palo' you, you need to obey/honor mommy" when I was disciplining her one day. Hubby was laughing so hard while singing, "I will palo you, palo you whereever you may go" with the tune of the "Sister Act" theme song.. Since then, I taught her the correct word. :p

In fear of adding more clutter in our house ~~(especially during school year when I'm grading papers)~~, I haven't really bought any book for the past five years, well except for books for my little girl and for my class, mostly workbooks. I'm glad that I'm back to doing one of my old time hobbies and I'm building a good library. I find myself reading more and more especially before going to sleep and the moment I wake up. :)

I know it's already July, 5 more months before the end of this year, but I would love to finish reading as many books listed below as I can. I already finished reading some in this list. Some free books I read are not included :p Thanks also to my sister for lending and recommending some great books. Balcony Project Almost Done

Whew, I'm thankful! With our toddler and new born, I thought we won't be able to finish this home renovation plan but we're almost finished with one part of the project. After two days of going to every steel building, furniture and hardware stores we'll almost finish the main project - the estimate finish date is Friday of next week including the adding of the furniture and supplies. Here's a sneak peak of what makes us busy. So happy to have our toddler help as well. :)

Tablet with Educational Games

Did you pre-order the new LeapFrog LeapPad, they are no longer accepting any pre-orders until late August, we really wanted that for our toddler because of its awesome features or educational gifts. We hope that it will be the one of the best graduation gift for our toddler who finished her first pre-school year (K-2), she just turned three and she's really eager to learn.

She's always using her daddy's HTC Incredible and my Nook Color/mini Tablet in running educational games. I'm sure she'll be happy to have her own tablet. It's really memorable when we let her use the laptop or desktop computer again and she's touching their screens. I guess she got too used to using those android touch screen device.

Breastfeeding Supplements

I previously wrote about my concern with breastfeeding. I had a tough 1st month with my newborn due to my seemingly low milk production. There are some things I did that helped with the lactation. I did get more than enough supply for my now 2 month old baby boy, however I encountered some problems when I started to go back to work and 2 weeks after my summer vacation started.

Here are the things that helped me with getting more than enough milk supply for my breastfeeding baby:
1) Nurse or pump frequently. (30min - 2 hrs) If I'm not at work, I'm always nursing. When I'm at work, I pump whenever possible. I nurse on each side until he falls asleep or pull off himself. I used to nurse for 30min-1hr. per side. Yah, no kidding... That long! So thankful my nookie lately joined me while I my little boy and I patiently worked hard on this.

2) Eat, snack often on foods rich in protein and calcium I did more than this, I became a voracious eater. I ate and ate that I gained and gained until none of my decent clothing feeds me. I feel like a sumo wrestling contestant but hey, I am glad that I no longer have my initial problem....

3) Drink enough fluids I'm still not good at drinking 8 glasses of water a day, but I'm trying and I drink juice and smoothie as well.

4) Rest

5) Fenugreek herb supplement 2 capsule 3x a day.

Well, there's a consequence with nursing frequently, at least for me. Now, when hungry, my baby cries and cries until mommy comes to the rescue and nurse him. He doesn't stop at all even when held or rocked by any other relatives/friends.

Tablet for my Toddler

My little girl is using my android cellphone and nook color in both reading and playing some educational games. I'm really thinking about getting her own 'ereader/educational game tablet' so I'm thinking of v.reader but then that's only ereader then I found out leap frog's leappad, she will soon have her own playbook tablet, her exclusive learning tablet... We still need to wait 6 more days before we can pre-order one. I'm sure she'll enjoy using it and she'll learn at the same time. In the meantime, she's learning through lexia reading.

On Reading Books

Well, I'm using both in my nook color. I started using Amazon Kindle application in the HTC Android phone my sister gave me. I like the cheaper price of some of their books, the built in dictionary, highlighting and note taking availability. Since I want a permanent or long-term e-reader, nook color arrived. I like the bonus of checking my facebook, email, googletalk or yahoo messanger. So now, my nook color which I call "my book" is always with me everywhere I go. Now, I have a total of 7 purchase of books: The Wedding of Nicholas Sparks, 25 Favorite Children's Book, ESV Study Bible: Crossway, 25 Favorite Novels, 81 Classic Literature, The Daily Five and Love & Respect". I want to collect all Nicholas Sparks novel, re-read "The Notebook" and "A Walk to Remember". I like nook's pdf page counter. I don't know if Amazon Kindle has that option as well. Well, I'm happy with my nook and I'm also glad that my sister and I can share books through the "Lend Me" application nook has. Perhaps, beginning of next month I'll be able to give my youngest sister her own nook color so the three of us can lend books. :) I guess, I just have to stop reading once in awhile so I can update my blogs. :o

Vacation Time!

We are officially on our summer vacation! Hooray!!!! We're still planning on what to do on our vacation, so far I've decided on teaching my toddler while I'm on vacation. Yesterday, we were out shopping for materials I will use in teaching her some of the basic standards and benchmarks for kindergarten students. We're hoping we can go to managaha island in two weeks. Well, that's about it for now. We need to stay active this summer; I also need to loose some weight. Well, I know its achievable, its not as hard as getting benzodiazepines detox addiction treatment. p90x and/or insanity workout here I come!!

I'm so glad to know that my two sisters now added blogging in their list of hobbies... They've found a great use of their slr and web cameras. I think my mom is also contemplating on having her own blog. It'll be fun to read their blogs and see their artographies. Well, as for me it will be nice if I can start documenting some important events and milestones in my kids lives but somehow, I find it hard to accomplish my role lately. Hopefully, I'll have enough time.

Book Collection!

Sixty more pages and I'd be finish with "The Wedding" of Nicholas Sparks. I'm thinking about what Nicholas Sparks book to purchase next. I've read "The Notebook", "Walk to Remember", "Dear John", "Message in the Bottle" & "The Rescue" already but I can't decide whether to get a book I haven't read or to read "The Notebook" again. Hmmm, decisions... I'll probably busy reading book reviews later on. I'm also trying to figure out a way to download my nook book collections from one android to another. I like using my nook color at home and if I'm on the road, I prefer my incredible htc with me. I can't believe I've so many applications installed in both device already! I even have life insurance calculator in one of them!

Meet my Nook Color

Since it's hard to read books in the android phone that my sister gave me, I surrendered it and gave it to hubby who uses it to play games and listen to audio books. I on the other hand, ordered Barnes and Nobles Nook Color which was shipped here in less than 2 weeks.

It is the great alternative to the expensive tablet I'm eying and a wonderful update to a mere e-reader. I'm happy to have it. My supportive husband had it rooted for me because I want to have my Amazon Kindle, KJV Bible, Nook Library, Gmail and GoogleTalk. The picture above is how it now looks with the icons I always use in the home page. I now receive my invitations from family or friends with just my awesome "book" with me. It is my hope to renew my passion for reading: I'm starting with collecting all of Nicholas Sparks' novel, the best romance author I know so far. :) ;I'm currently reading "The Wedding" while sipping my Mocca Frappe.

Long weekend!

3 day holiday gives us enough break from teaching and managing our hyperactive kids... Hmm, that's not really what I feel. This long weekend gives me ample time to do general cleaning in my classroom. I'll be asking our helper to help me clean my room and also start my inventory. The entire day might not be enough but it's better than not cleaning it at all.. Two more weeks of school and our vacation will start! I need to ready my lesson plan for my toddler before vacation ends. I haven't been successful collecting what I need though. I'll start today, and hopefully get them ready for printing and/or laminating this week. I'm so glad hubby is helping me with some online tasks I've, he knows more about the best hgh than I do.

3 Graduations in 1 month

Last Friday, we were invited to attend the graduation of our friend's daughter, my hubby was 'hired' to be the photographer that night while I was in charged with the kiddos... (as much as I want to be the photographer that night, I'm not that comfortable having someone else in charge with my kiddos in crowded place). After the ceremony, we had a wonderful pot lock with outdoor fire pits in front of the school. Next week, I'll be in my toddler's K3 graduation and in the afternoon we'll be in another friend's graduation where my hubby will be the photographer in another evening graduation we'll attend to.

My New Toy

I received my new toy last Thursday from Barnes & Nobles. Guess what that is.... :) My nook color! After more than a year of debating what ebook reader I'll get, I finally settle down with B&N's Nook Color. Besides, this is not just an ebook reader but also an inexpensive tablet! Here are some of the programs I love using with my new toy: Angry Bird :), Pandora, YouTube, Bible KJV, Facebook, Amazon Kindle, Nook Library, Gmail, Google Talk, Web Browser. I'm loving this new toy I've! A great birthday present for me :) Thanks to my blog opportunities, I got this one for free. The money allotted for the metal building project we have is untouched! :)

Playground at home

Back when my sister was planning to relocate here, we were thinking about having our own preschool. That would have been a great business where we can also take care of our own kids. Whatever happened to that plan? Hmmm... I don't think it'll be a great idea to relocate here especially now that she has her own infant to take care of. Sometime soon, we'll be there with them too... In the meantime, we're still doing our major renovation here since we're assuming we'll be here longer than we planned. We've set up a play area for our kiddos and it's looking better than before, we just need to add some of my toddler's favorite preschool playground equipment. We've no plans on doing day care now that there's two of them. I just hope we find the 'one' nanny for our little ones.

Massage Therapy

My second week of being back to work seems to be fine, 4 more weeks and we'll be on our long summer break. Yay! This two weeks, I got a chance to talk to some moms here who recommended a post partum massage therapy. They said it will help re-establish pelvis structure, relieve back, neck and shoulder pain and support healthy lactation. Well, I hid their advice and went there last Monday. The lady said I should have gone the day after giving birth and the session should last for 12 days. I didn't know that but 3 days seem to be enough for me. The lady giving me a massage was very nice and she has all sort of beliefs and advice for me including investing on a good senior life insurance now eventhough I have a long way to go before I reach my senior years. :p

Sleep Deprived

I haven't been getting enough sleep since my 3rd Trimester... I'm lucky if I get more than 4 hours of sleep everyday but I don't really have any other choice... No complains, this is just part of being a classroom teacher and a mom of a toddler and a new born. However, I know this is not healthy for me. I read that there numbers of effects of sleep deprivation on brain and behavior. So now, whenever I can, I will get some sleep especially when both my kiddos are asleep. Having a house helper is now a great relief for me, I don't have to do everything alone... I'm still on the look out of supplements available for me. I haven't completely healed, I'm reading about some thrush treatment and wondering if that's something that will help me heal but I don't even understand what that word means.

Supplements for Breastfeeding Mom

Are there any available supplements for breastfeeding mom? Perhaps something that will help in lactation, for some reason my milk supply is not enough for my 3-week old baby. Hubby is drinking protein supplement, am I allowed to drink that too? My sister also gave me calcium products but I don't know if that will be safe to drink. The only supplement I have is my iron and natal vitamins. I guess, I'll have to find out the answer from my doctor tomorrow.

Back to Work

I'm back to work after just almost a month leave of my maternity leave but I'm not that all stressed since we only have 30 days of school as of today, yay! Can't wait for 2 1/2 month of vacation!

The stressful part for me was before I get back to work, I was crying and really freaking out 'cuz I don't know who's going to watch my toddler and my newborn. It'll not be reasonable for me to bring both of them to day care but thankfully just a day before we get back to work, we found one reliable helper. Now, I've less worries, I guess our current smart home systems are working. We're now thinking if it will be possible for her to be a stay in helper...

Packages

Since our relatives moved to the mainland, they have been sending packages for us. They were mostly toys and clothes for my children. We've been wanting to send packages to them but we never had the time to organize what we want them to receive. My mom requested for local foods that they are missing so, that's in the top our list for my mom & my sister while, beetle-nut and Rocky Patel cigars are for my step-dad. Hope we get everything ready before the end of our vacation leave. I'm sure when we get back to work, we won't have the time to send the packages.

Easter Celebration

Our easter celebrated on my daughter day-care school since we're still on leave due to giving birth to my youngest. I can still picture how happy she was when she picking and collecting those hidden eggs. Even bragging that she got a lot of it saying her favorite word "mommy look!," every-time she wanna show something to me. Got my sister's package from Florida today which includes Verizon's Android Phone. They sell that here for $400 and I really had no desire of purchasing any cellphone since we don't use it anyway. Five simcards already expired since we got here because we often forget to add load. However, we now use that cellphone, my good old T-Mobile MDA, to receive emergency phone call from our house when our home security alarm goes off. Now, I found great use of our new Android Phone other than capturing high quality videos and pictures, I also downloaded Kindle for Android and will be using this phone to read e-book/pdf books and to listen to audio books. :) I also used it to play games in this phone awhile ago, I was awarded numerous soccer trophies already. :) Thanks sis!

Moving Out

We're not planning to stay here permanently... Sooner or later we plan to relocate but in the meantime, we need to invest for useful things while we are here. I honestly don't have any plan of leaving until we're guaranteed with a 1 year life expense, a home and a $0 debt. Hmm, I wonder when that'll be... :p Perhaps, when we get there, we'll get rv loans and live in rv for awhile until we get settled.

Just when the early stage of my labor is progressing, we received a terrible news yesterday. My heart is deeply broken especially when I saw the impact of this news to my husband... It's terrible that I don't completely know what he's feeling but I hope there's something I can do... He's in terrible pain right now... I hope I can still give the best fathers day gifts for dad. We're hoping he'll be happy to see his grandchild named after him when he recovered but he left us just when my unborn child is getting ready to come out... Why so soon... :(

Another UltraSound?

Last night hubby stopped me from getting my second serve or rice which made me realize how big my stomach had become... I really need to limit my food intake now, I didn't gain much weight anywhere else except in my tummy so we're now searching for my belly pictures from my first pregnancy to make a comparison... Hubby is suggesting to get another ultrasound to check my unborn child's weight estimate... The last time I went there he's already in his 6 lbs but I was told that's only an approximate so I don't know if another ultrasound will help. I'll try to eat less this next few days especially that I'm already in my 38th weeks, our baby boy will be out soon.... I'm now thinking of when I'll start doing my "Insanity" workout program or perhaps just "wii fit" will do. I'll try using creatine powder as well and see how it'll work for me.

I found one cute picture family picture that captures my unborn little boy's bump as well. This was taken when we toured some frequently visited tourists spots in the island. As much as I love my current day job. I would love to be a stay at home mom so I can take care of my little toddler and her unborn baby when he's finally out of his current resident. However, I still don't know if that is possible now or sometime soon since I have so much debt and bill to pay. During our summer break, however, I will use the "My Baby Can Read" and "Teach My Baby/Toddler" to prep her with K3-K5. I will also pursue online business degree. I know by then, I will also have the time to manage all my blogs... :p Aside from online business degree, I also plan to take some photography courses. Though I don't plan to be a professional photographer, I want to learn some about it. :) I hope it's already summer.

My sister showed me an old picture of us while I was still editing our maternity pictures. I found it appropriate to add our before pictures to our current pictures :)... I wonder if all our kids will look like us. I was told that my little girl is now looking more and more like me.. Loosing Weight or Muscle Relaxation

Hubby bought something that works like TENS Unit, something I used before when I was undergoing physical therapy. He uses it everyday for 20 to 30 minutes a day to firm and strengthen his abs. He is also drinking protein drinks and doing some exercise or workouts. He wanted to try some diet pills but he is cautious about scams. he asks me questions like, is acai berry a scam? My answer is always, "I'll research about it first then I'll let you know..."

Anyway, the other day, aside from terrible back pain, I also have neck and shoulder pain so he suggested that I try his SlenderStone. I was hesitant at first since I can see him sort of dance while using it. I'm a bit afraid that it's too intense for me but I was wrong... that's also when I found out it works like a tens unit. I had to do some research if that'll be harmful for my unborn child but the good news is it's not as long as it's not around my belly.

iPhone Craze

My brother is crazy over his iPhone4! He can't get enough writing about it in his fb status and even talks alot about it in our last phone conversation. He was actually surprised that I still don't have one since he knows that I'm a tech/gadget collector. :p I still have my touch screen cellphone which I use once in awhile just to receive phone call from our house if our home security alarm goes off. On Getting Fit

My hubby is becoming more and more concerned about his weight even though I'm always telling him he is not obese or overweight. However, one word from any of the people he knows just affects him. He started reading about phenphedrine and other diet solutions. Well, I guess it has some good points since he's now back to being physically active - he finds time to workout and play basketball again. He is not obese but he did slack off for the past three years... hmmmm, who wouldn't gain a lot with a routine that only requires him to sit or sleep... I hope I get him to help me do some household chores as well.

I'm really happy taking pictures everywhere I go that's why hubby is always asking, "what's your next coverage?" everytime we leave the house because my camera bag is always with me wherever I go.... even at work... But when it comes to rings…then that's a different story. She and her husband got their wedding bands from scott kay. But now that she is in her full term pregnancy (and about to pop out a babe into this world any day) her hands are so swollen she had to remove her rings. I love organizing! I can’t count how many notebook organizers I’ve had in the past. They have been very useful but there is much advantage in using a Personal Digital Assistant. The first PDA I owned was a palm pre and I loved it. There are many advantages of using one. My favorite is the fact that I didn’t have to continually input data with a pencil/pen and then have to create a whole “messy page” when schedules change. I can synchronize my calendar with my laptop. And most importantly…less paper trail. Save the trees! Ha!

Rinnnnggg... the telephone chided. "Is this the house of **?" It so happened that I was the one who took the call. The call was from one of the agency where my son submitted his C.V (Curriculum Vitae) which is locally known as bio data. They informed my son to come to their office for an interview.
Excited as he was, I was more than elated to think what to make him wear on that particular day. Do I need to prepare for a pair of pants and shirt with matching suit? What color of shirt do I need to prepare? He must look extra ordinary or trendy so he can impress his interviewer. I was not accustomed to see my son in a business attire, so how to wrap him with an extraordinary outfit is a hard course for me. Wearing a suit and a skinny ties. Awesome!

Maternity Picture

I just finished browsing and organizing my photo collection for this past two months and realized that I have no maternity picture at all since almost always behind the camera so I asked hubby to take a picture of my little girl kissing mommy's tummy where her baby brother is. She loves saying 'baby boy' and then kissing my tummy. However, instead of kissing my tummy she giggled and showed a 'peace sign.' Since she learned showing peace sign, she'd always run in front of our camera with her peace sign asking for a snapshot... :)
After looking at the picture, I realized how huge I've become. Well, I'm still skinny but my tummy is huge... I hope I won't need a plus size lingerie but who knows, I'm only in my 31st week. Oops, wait... I'm already in my 31st week, I need to be more prepared for the coming of our little boy...

Xtreme Magic Sing!

My mom used to own a set of wireless xtreme magic sing but it was stolen 3 years ago, I guess someone loved the outcome of my brother and my hubby's voice when they were using it one afternoon that's why when they turned their back away from it in less than 30 minutes, the whole set was gone... in our own living room! Nothing else was stolen except the magic sing and everything that comes with it... It was surprising how that person was able to get all of those set when hubby and my brother didn't even bother to put them back in the case. Anways, I hope to get a replacement... Now we are searching for Xtreme Magic Sing that hubby and my little girl can use. I only sing to or sing with my daughter or in the church but I'm never good at it so I don't need a magic mic. However, I'm sure my little girl will enjoy it and will learn a lot of karaoke songs. I just don't know where to get xtreme magic sing that'll be shipped where we are. I hope to get one soon.

It was a year ago when we brought our little girl to our local carnival. Since she was only a year old, she didn't care about the place nor the rides she saw there but that wasn't the case when we brought there beginning of this month. She even enjoyed every ride, especially this colorful train, even when she was there by herself twice that night.. She says 'Chuga Chuga Choo Choo!' throughout her ride. She tried every kiddie ride and jumped. She also enjoyed jumping inside the air blown castle. It was already dark when we got home but she still played pretend games with her 3 Barney, Dora and Elmo dolls. She now enjoys playing tea-time, sleeping time and class time with her toys. Her electric blanket is of course always part of her pretend games. She had a long night but we usually sleep and wake up late every Saturday so that wasn't a big deal. She had fun playing while I had fun capturing her special moments...

Resort Goers

I think this is the only real of the resort I took when we went to visit World Resort yesterday. I was only taking pictures of my little girl and hubby. Actually, my eyes are mostly glued on my little girl due to my fear of her getting into an accident. I don't really know why I have this fear. When she reaches three, we plan to enroll her to a swimming lesson. I hope she won't be afraid. One of these days, we'll be in setai 5th ave or any luxury resorts we wish to visit like Gansevoort Miami Beach and Trump Waikiki! :) It'll be fun if relatives from both sides of the family are with us!

Visit to the Resort

New Year's Day, we spent our entire day and night at PIC. Our toddler enjoyed the water park that we decided to bring her to the beach last week and we brought her to another resort yesterday. Who knows one of these days, we'll decide an Outer Banks vacation rentals near a beach. In the meantime, we'll enjoy the beaches and resorts here in the island. I'm still thinking about Managaha Island, I was also pregnant with my now two year old daughter the last time we went there.

Too Much Holidays...

...are fun! We get to spend more quality time! I get to eat... eat... and eat some more! :) That seems to be my hobby since I pass my first trimester. I now eat as much as hubby does. We used to just order one meal because I don't eat a lot but now it is mandatory for us to have two separate orders. Just by the looks of it, I need to buy fat burners after giving birth. Too bad only the months of December to January are full of holidays. We had our last holiday or no work day yesterday, Martin Luther King Jr's day... Yay, at least we still have our Saturdays and Sundays break.

My Weight Gain

I was three months pregnant already when I went to see my doctor, I weigh 97 lbs then. The second to the last visit, I weigh 100 lbs and last Friday, I weigh 112 lbs. It was a good weight gain for me since I don't really gain weight that much. My 28 weeks old baby boy is developing really well inside. I'm not so concerned with my weight gain, I'm sure I'll lose it all after giving birth... if not, I'll top 10 diet pills will be my resort. I'm a bit worried though that my blood pressure is still low that's why I was scheduled for another blood exam... that means I need to request another leave from work to do my blood exams. I don't know how to do it, I don't want to loose all my annual leave. The sad news is I already used up all my sick leave so it's either annual leave or leave without pay. Yaiks! Hopefully, I'll find a better solution - I need to get my blood exam by next week!

My Gift

Here's one of my gift to hubby this Christmas. A Nike Lebron shoes for his basketball and workout shoes. His first gift is a Sketchers lo-cut shoes as he calls it. Obviously he is the one who picked the gift because he's really picky with his shoes.

It looks like he's the one who wants to have iPhone. However, he also wants to have a flat screen TV. I'm not sure if that'll happen anytime soon since we plan to renovate our house and get a pergo laminate flooring. Hubby gave me another gift during new year's day right after our whole day swimming at PIC resort. I liked this sports watch :) The timer and alarm was really useful for me especially when I'm at work.

We also bought new rice cooker and slow cooker/crockpot, my new weapon. :) He was asking me if I like iphone but I told him we don't really need a cellphone. He also showed me the otterbox iphone 4 but right now I really prefer having my telephoto zoom lens :)

What did you get for Christmas? My toddler enjoyed opening her presents although she saw some of them already when we were buing them for her. :) My hubby got a shoes and he wanted new shades. I wanted a new camera lens but choosing one takes so much time. It might take two more months before I get my present :p I also hoped for a new pair of wedding ring for hubby and me since ours got stolen when our house was robbed a year ago or perhaps a white gold chain but I don't think I'll get that this year since we can't find what we like here in the island. LOL!

Sick Family

It's been a week now that our medicine cabinets were moved inside our bedroom. We've also been to the doctor's clinic 3x just this December. We started with a consultation about my little girl's allergy, then we went back due to her pink eye and sore throat and just the other day we went back again for her cough, colds and fever. She's getting better now except for her cough and husband and I are now the ones with all her previous illness. I hope our vicks vaporizer will help as well.

Home Furniture

We're looking to do another renovation at home since we've so many toys and books for our little girl now and we need enough space for all of them. We plan to buy a log furniture cabinet for our little girl and boy's toys. We also need enough space for the following years to come. I just hope we have enough space in our living room. We're also excited to decorate our Christmas tree, my little girl really likes to see "ai-light" or christmas light.

I'm finally showing whenever I'm wearing my regular clothes. My co-workers are noticing it also and some are even surprised to know that I'm expecting.... I was still told that I don't need to worry about how to lose belly fat fast because eventhough I'm already 22 weeks my tummy isn't huge. I'm happy to know that my little boy is healthy though, I always know whenever he's awake because I feel his kicking and moving.

We're trying to cut off some of our expenses lately that's why we cancelled our cable connection which costs us about $100 a month, but we have a portable dvd player that plays .avi, .mp4 files which we have so much of so we're using that instead. The only drawback is that we've seen almost every movies we have in our hard drive so we'll probably ask our co-workers for more video files backup they have. We're also recommended a home remedy for acne for my hubby who needs them.

Losing v.s. Gaining Weight

My little girl and I have the difficulty in gaining weight. We're attending a dietary consultation about how to gain weight. We will be returning for another follow up appointment next month. Hopefully by then we'll gain enough weight so we won't have to return again every month but I'm sure we won't need the best weight loss supplement, we need the opposite. I'm positive though that our weight is really because of our genes, I got them from my biological father's side.

Online Game

When I stopped blogging a lot, I was playing online games a lot. Then this beginning of school year I saw the game "Plants v.s. Zombies" in one of our school's computer so I took it and played with it at home. So, that has been my past time during my week ends :) when we're at home. Otherwise, we're in a computer store looking at their iPad and learning more about the ipad insurance they sell. Lately, our little girl tried playing "mummie" and she's learned how to add plants to battle with the zombies. She learned how to collect the sun even without us teaching her. She's really keen in observing us with whatever we do.

Our Weekend Plan

We've this long weekend which started today, we planned to catch up with our sleep since we're mostly sleeping late doing work. We also want to have our movie marathon everytime we're at home and we're not sleeping :) or reading important informations like BCBSNC. Shopping Spree

We'll be doing our shopping spree now that almost every store we go to have their items on sale. Hubby likes to get some ipods, of course we'll get one each. We'll also get some educational toys for our little toddler who's now more clingy. I was told that it's because she can sense that she has a baby brother coming. As I'm typing this, she's sitting on my lap and refused to get down so I better stop again and prepare breakfast. Shopping will wait later.

Medicare Plan

I'm familiar with Medicaid Plan but not with Medicare plan that's why I spent time learning about it. I read about one company who help assist people that need disability insurance. I learned that disability insurance is not purchased, it has been paid for through your FICA taxes. I need to know all this because I might someday need a social security disability benefit or medicare plan. I know I deserve those since I'm paying for them. At least now I know who to contact when that time comes. I need to learn everytime I can about insurance especially now that I've to kiddos already. Right now we just maximized all our savings plan. Hopefully that'll help save for the future of our kids.

I remember seeing a facebook status post from one of my long lost cousin about her using cigar aficionados. I don't really know about it since I'm not a smoker but the name caught my attention that I had to search what that was. I then saw so many recommended cigars with some free stuff and samplers of top brand cigars. I wonder if I'll be a smoker if I grew up without asthma. Hmmm, everything seem to be possible to me now especially after finding out that my husband was a heavy smoker when he moved to Kuwait. He wasn't a smoker when we were college classmates, or at least that's what he told me.

Since we started working, we completely forgot about working out. We're both dead tired after work that we always take a power nap, wake up to eat dinner and then sleep again. Sometimes we just eat out and sleep all through out the night then wake up the next day in time for work. We might just decide to get fat burners for men since hubby is often complaining about his weight gain. We just brushed aside all our work-out gears! Hopefully when we get a new AC for our living room, we'll both be inspired to work out again. I'll only do yoga, he's the one who has a lot of working out to do. :) My doctor told me to not exercise, walk to much or carry heavy stuff so I'd probably ask about yoga on my next appointment.

I often wonder about that but don't really have the guts to check especially that I know now that I haven't recovered from getting low credit score. I used to have the perfect credit score but I lost that in just a year when I relocated. Anyway, I don't have so much credit cards bills and I'm always prompt with my payment on those cards but it was my school loan from my private school in the states that's giving me a hard time with my loan just because I'm no longer there. Hopefully the next time I check I'll be satisfied with my FICO score. I'm still keeping the very first credit card I opened.

The Wonder of Technology

We've had our home security alarm for a long time now but we haven't set up our auto dialer whenever our alarm goes off since we're home most of the time anyway. However, last Sunday, hubby finally decided to set it to dial our cellphone and work phone number whenever our home security alarm goes off. I am not really expecting any phonecall from our house but yesterday I got the phone call with hubby's recorded voice saying "security alarm activated". We were both eating in my classroom that time so he went home immediately to check. Everything was secure when he got here, someone might be tying our alarm system and if someone will actually respond to the alarm. Our next project is to get a home security camera that we can access anywhere. Eventhough technology jobs are rare here in the island, I'm still glad that the wonder of technology still reach us via online stores and internet. :p

Next Week's Expense Schedule

Other than our normal bills, we're planning to have a complete checkup and maintenance for our car. If only it's possible to replace all parts with the Ferrari parts, it might turn out to be an awesome car. We know it has a break problem since the break light is always on even when we're not stepping the break... Oh, do you know that I haven't driven our car since last October since hubby and I now work in the same place, he's always the one driving. :p

Doctor's Advice

When I first went to see my doctor I was told that I was underweight. So, instead of getting fat burners, I need to get supplements that will help me gain weight. I will have my first ultrasound next week. I'm excited to see and know if I will have a girl or a boy. I also need to try my best to gain weight. I'm as choosy as my little girl who is also under weight. We both need to eat a lot like my husband who weighs just right. We're all eating the same food anyway, why can't we all have just the right weight for our age and height?

Failed Workout

I failed doing my workout routine already. Even though we already have all the equipment and video we need, we just can't find the time anymore. Gladly, we didn't get monthly best muscle building supplements because they will go to waste. However, when we get back with our exercise routine we'll order some for him. I will only do yoga anyway. I just got my package "Laminator" Package to day and I was so devastated with how it looks. It's all shattered and the packages was completely damaged. I was told that it was shipped by boat that's why it's completely damaged. I wished it was shipped like the quick weight loss products I was asked to order. I already gave that order to my co-worker who was happy with it. Now, I can't wait to shoot an email to the seller of the laminator and demand a refund of the whole payment I made.

Diet Pill That Works

Some time last month, my co-worker was sharing diet pills that work for her. She said she still eats every food she likes to eat but she is just loosing her appetite after few bites. Her lost of appetite seems normal to her. We are also noticing the change of her figure and most of our co-worker praise her for that. My Eye Problem

The other day we were looking for appetite suppressant that works for my dear husband but we ended up spending more time in the eye institution. I had to have my eye checked since I suddenly suffered from vision problem that started only last month. I can't see pretty much anything in my classroom bulletin board. This wasn't the case before my pregnancy. I had to talk to the eye doctor regarding this too. I was told that I can't wear contact lense anymore because my eyes turn red everytime I wear one. I was told that it's only temporary but then I can't see or read what's posted in my bulletin board or don't recognize people anymore so I was given corrective glasses.

I later found out online that I should avoid having an eye test until six weeks or more after giving birth. Yaiks, so perhaps my vision impairment will be permanent. I can't teach if I can't see even the ones written on my board/projector screen. At least now I understand why I always seem to have dry eyes and skin. I need to drink more water/fluid everyday!

Car Issue

We have another car issue, we're seeing this 'brake' red light even when the hand brake is down or when we're not pressing the brake. Unfortunately, our cheap auto insurance doesn't cover any car issues not related to accidents so we will wait until next Friday to have it checked. We also plan a complete checkup/maintenance on it by then. Hopefully nothing serious is wrong with it since we can't go anywhere without our car.

The other day my mom called me to share her frustrations with her current life insurance. I'm quite disappointed myself 'cuz I was the one who recommended that insurance and insurance company due to books and financial advise I hear or read. When she was still here in the island, she has premium cash back life insurance. She said she's getting cash back every year if nothing happens to her and she's paying lesser amount. However, I told her to find term insurance quotes and choose term insurance over premium cash back life insurance. However, now she said she can't keep up with the yearly increase of payment and she's not getting anything in return. Will it be worth it to switch back to premium cash back life insurance or stick with term insurance?

Eye Problem

Due to extreme dry skin, I also noticed that I'm having that problem with the surrounding of my eyes. I tried to put some moisturizer and also an wrinkle firming cream we found in our nearby store. I also noticed that my poor vision worsen. I don't know what the effect would be yet but I'll officially find out what's wrong next Monday during my doctors appointment. Hopefully, it's curable.

My sister and I get punished a lot even for just the smallest things and they're mostly because of what my sister did. :p

I felt bad not writing about so many blog opportunities but I need to find the time writing for one since it's really hard to get in their system. Blogging, Work and Baby

I'll probably minimize my blogging time especially that work started and I now have another child I need to take care of eventhough she's not born yet. I don't want to experience what I did last year. Having eczema is just one the symptoms I've. I'm happy with my pregnancy though, especially that hubby and I wanted to have another child. When I was pregnant with my first baby, a friend of mine in highschool sent a package with herbal supplements for unborn child and also for breastfeeding mom. Unfortunately I forgot what the name is. I'm not looking for diet supplements or suppressants but during my search, I came across herbal phentermine and read about it. I'll probably read more about it and maybe use it next year to loose the extra pounds. I will gain throughout this pregnancy.
